Odyssey of the Mind

 

Odyssey of the mind is a creative problem solving challenge for students created by a man named Samuel Micklus.

Dr. Micklus taught technology at Rowan University and wanted his students to problem solve while taking risks. According to Dr.Micklus, "Odyssey of the Mind teaches young people to embrace changes and instills in youngsters an excitement about learning. They discover within themselves an ability to achieve what others might say is impossible." 

It is in the spirit of Dr. Micklus that we have brought OM to The Children's Workshop to foster that love of great thinking.Continuing to celebrate the idea that children learning how to think creatively and productively will only further enhance their love of learning.
