Our children love art. Beautiful materials, interesting ideas, learning to create in a non-judgmental place, what could be better for the developing personality?

 

Art class is held on Thursday mornings . Each class receives a lesson and works on a project.

 

We begin the year with an exploration of the 7 elements of design: line, shape, color, texture, space and perspective, value, form and dimension. The concepts are taught to the children week by week and then explored artistically by them.

 

Once the basics are in place, subsequent projects spring from the various cultural, historical, geographic, literary or scientific themes that are currently being explored in the work of the children.
